MIXED DAL KHEER / MUPPARUPPU PAYASAM


INGREDIENTS : 

Toor Dal - 1 handful 
Moong dal - 1 handful 
Channa dal - 1 handful 
Milk - 1/2 litre 
Jaggery - as per requirement 
Candy sugar/Kalkandu - 1 handful 
Cashews,Cardamom and Raisins.





METHOD OF PREPARATION : 

1) Soak dals for 1 hour. Pressure cook them for 6-7 whistles and keep aside. 





2) Boil milk with kalkandu. Allow it to cool and keep aside.

3) Meanwhile , make thick jaggery syrup and filter the impurities. 



4) Add the boiled milk with the dal mixture and stir well. Boil till it lightly thickens to the kheer consistency.




5)Garnish with ghee roasted cashews,raisins and cardamom pods. 




 Sending this to kheer festival .

Hi Nithya ..this kheer is definitely very healthy n i am yet to make a kheer with pulses .
we love the badam kheer though we call it badam rabdi..
you rpalak and green tomato chutny look great.
