MULTIPURPOSE COCONUT MIX




INGREDIENTS:


Channa dal - 2 tsps
Mustard seeds,Urad dal - 1 tsp each
Curry Leaves and Coriander leaves
Groundnut-1 1/2tsp
Coconut - 1/2 of the whole coconut
Red chillies-4
Cashews-5 nos


METHOD OF PREPARATION:


1) Heat oil/ghee in a kadai.Once hot,add mustard and urad dal.When it splutters,add channa dal,peanuts,cashews and curry leaves.Fry them till roasted.
2) Add red chillies and saute for a minute.
3) Add the grated coconut and fry till the raw smell leaves and gets roasted well .Cook in slow flame till the flavour rules out and coconut is slightly golden.

Store in an air tight container .This is a ready mix for Coconut Rice / instantly blended for chutney/blended for masala in Pulikulambu.
