MANGO PACHADI - TAMIL NEW YEAR SPECIAL RECIPE




INGREDIENTS:

Mango – 1 small
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Mustard – ½ tsp
Red Chillies - 2 small
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Neem flower (dried powder) -1/2 tsp
Salt to taste.
Jaggery Syrup - 1/4 cup


METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1) Heat oil in a pan. Add in the cut mango pieces. Saute for few minutes.


2) Then, add in the jaggery syrup to the mixture and allow it to boil for another 5 minutes. 



3) Add chilli powder , neem flower powder and salt.Wait till mango becomes tender. Remove it from the flame and keep aside

4) Heat oil in a pan. Add Mustard and Jeera.When it splutters,add dried chillies. Switch off the flame and mix it the mango.

Thanks for reminding on the new year coming by. I completely forgot, you know with so many things on my mind. Also another thanks for the much loved mango pachadi. This has to be my fav. I love the sorriness and the burst of spicy taste. Must be with rice and sambar for a complete meal. Absolutely divine.
