Bisibela Bath



INGREDIENTS:

Rice - 1 cup
Toor dal - 1/2 cup
Carrot - 1
Onions - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chillies - 8
Mustard - 1 tsp
Curry leaves and Coriander leaves
Tamarind - Lemon size
Salt to taste
Green peas - 1 cup


FOR MASALA :


Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
Coriander seeds - 2 tsp
Red chillies- 8
Channa dal - 1 tsp
Cloves,Elachi - 1
Cinnamon - 1
Kus kus - 2tsp

METHOD OF PREPARATION:


1) Pressure cook rice,dal, a pinch of turmeric powder,2 tsps of oil ,asafoetida,carrot and peas with with 6 cups of water for 2 whistles.
2) Heat oil in a frying pan and fry mustard,urad dal.When it splutters,ass curry leaves and chopped onion.fry them till tender.
3) Then add chopped tomato.Fry for a minute.
4) Add tamarind juice, salt to taste and allow it to boil till the raw smell leaves.
5) Add masala and boil for another 5 minutes till the masala smell leaves.
