MURUNGGAI KEERAI PORIYAL / DRUMSTICK LEAVES STIR FRY



INGREDIENTS :

Drumstick leaves - 3 cups
Sambar onion - 8-10 nos finely chopped
Salt to taste
Mustard,Urat dal- 1 tsp each
Grated Coconut - 2 tspsRed Chillies - 4 nos

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Clean and boil leaves in a vessel with sprinkled little water till done.
2) Temper it with mustard, urat dal,well sauted onions , red chillies and grated coconut.Add salt to it at the end and mix it up well.

Serve hot with rice.

CHINNA PAVAKKAI PORIYAL / SMALL BITTERGOURD STIR FRY



INGREDIENTS :

Bittergourds - 150 gms
Sambar onion - 8-10 nos finely chopped
Curry leaves - few
Salt to taste
Mustard,Urat dal and Jeera - 1 tsp each
Red Chillies - 4 nos

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Clean and boil bitterbourd in a vessel with sufficient water till done or Pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
2) Temper it with mustard, jeera ,urat dal. onion , red chillies and curry leaves.

Serve hot with rice.

CHOCOLATE WHEAT PANCAKE



A yummy and truly drooling pancakes with the two secret ingredients , Chocolate and Milk given by Lakshmi priya for April's Challenge...SSshh Secretly Cooking challenge by Priya akka.

INGREDIENTS :

Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Bar Chocolate - 2 /Choco chips - few 
Milk - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 3 full scoops
Butter
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Chocolate ice cream - 2 tbsps

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Blend chocolate icecream,bar  chocolate and milk well.
2) Mix Wheat flour , chocolate milkshake,baking soda and sugar well with little sufficient water.Batter should be smooth and thick .
3) Heat pan . Spread batter on it once hot , little thick . Spray butter to it and flip it's sides till done.

Serve hot .

MOONGDAL WADI CURRY


I prepared this yummy subzi for SNC Challenge - Rajasthani Thali by Manjula , check for my thali here .

INGREDIENTS :

Moong Wadi -1 cup 
Coriander leaves -  2 cups
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Dhania Powder - 1 tp
Jeera Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1. Heat oil in a pan.When hot ,add the cumin seeds .When they splutter ,add the spice powders with 1/2 cup water and then the wadies.

2. Add salt and cook them till the wadi's are well cooked and are soft .

3. When the curry thickens , remove from the flame . Garnish with coriander leaves.

COCONUT MILK FRENCH BEANS STIR FRY



INGREDIENTS :




French Beans / Long Beans - 200 g
Garlic Cloves - 6
Coconut Milk - 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Onion - 1 (medium)
Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Mustard,Urat dal - 1 tsp each
Curry Leaves
Red chillies - 2 


METHOD OF PREPARATION :


1) Heat oil in a kadai .Once hot,add mustard,urat dal .When it splutters , add curry leaves,red chillies and chopped onion and garlic .Fry till golden brown.
2)Add Chopped beans and add little water .Cover with a lid ,wait till beans becomes soft without any water.
3) Then,add coconut milk,chilli and turmeric powders .Stir well.
4) Add Salt and cover with a lid .Remove from flame when all the water gets drained and milk gets well mixed with beans .

Serve hot with rice.

BEETROOT POTATO ROLLS




INGREDIENTS ;

Beetroot-2
Potato - 2
Green Chillies-3
Jeera - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp

METHOD OF PREPARATION ;

1. Boil the beetroot and potato till they soften.
2. mash them well with other ingredients .
3. Roll small portions of it ,coated with biscuit crumps.
4.Finally,deep fry the till golden brown .

Serve hot with sauce.

CAPSICUM GRAVY



INGREDIENTS :

Capsicum - 200 gms
Salt to taste
Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves

FOR GRINDING :

Saute 1 finely sliced onion along with finely sliced well ripen tomato . Allow it to cool down . 
Then , blend them with 1 tsp of fennel seeds and 1/2 tsp of kus kus to a fine masala.

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Saute finely sliced/cubed capsicum in 2 tbsps of oil till done .
2) Add grinded masala to it with salt,coconut milk and little water.
3) Bring it to boil and cook till oil separates out.
4) Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Chapathi / Poori .

GREEN MOONG DAL VADA / PAASIPAYAR VADAI


A super simple vadai for my dear friend Divya Prakash on her birthday....Wishing you a wonderful year ahead dear .....She is such a sweet and lovely friend....


INGREDIENTS :

Green gram dal -- 1 cup
Channa dal -- 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste -- 1 tsp
Onion -- 1
Red chillies -- 3
Curry leaves
Salt to taste


METHOD OF PREPARATION : 

1) Soak green gram dal and channa dal for 4 hours .
2) Grind them with ginger garlic paste,salt and red chillies .
3) Add chopped onion and curry leaves to the batter .
4)Heat oil for deep frying . Once hot , take a small ball size batter ,flatten it and fry them .

Serve hot with chutneys .
