AVAL PAYASAM / POHA PAYASAM



I prepared this payasam for Akshaya Trithiya.

INGREDIENTS :


Aval/Beaten rice/ Poha -1 cup
Ghee
Sugar
Elachi powder / cashew/Almond powder -- 2 tsp
Cashews / Dried graphes
Milk --250 ml

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Ghee fry the poha for 3 minutes and leave aside .
2) Boil milk in a heavy bottomed vessel with a cup of water . Add poha,sugar and mixed powders . Stir continuously till it reduces to half .
3) Garnish with ghees fried cashews,raisins and almond .This goes to 15 minute cooking hosted my Mahima
