STRAWBERRY CUPCAKE



INGREDIENTS :

  • 150g butter(1 cup)
  • 150g dark-brown sugar(1 cup)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp strawberry flavouring
  • 150g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder(6 pinches)
  • 4-5 strawberries(medium-sized)

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / 160 C Fan and Prepare your baking tin.
2. Cut the butter into small pieces adding it into a large bowl and later add the sugar into the batter. Cream until smooth, light and creamy or thick doughy mix would also be good.


3. Add the eggs and flour into the mixture with the baking powder and beat until the mixture is gradually smooth.






4. Add the strawberries to the mixture and before the last mix, add the teaspoon of strawberry flavouring.



5. Spoon the batter into the cases, about a quarter to half way upward.


6. Bake the cupcakes for about 20 minutes and then the cupcakes are ready to serve.

WHEAT BANANA PANCAKE



Let's start our day with a quick comfort healthy pancake. They always make a full breakfast meal. 

INGREDIENTS :

Wheat flour - 2 cups
Baking powder - 1.5 tsps
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Banana - 1 fully ripen
Jaggery / Cane sugar as required for your sweetness. I prepared the syrup.
Honey
Butter

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1. Sieve the flour, add baking powder, baking soda, sliced banana. Mix it well.


2. Slowly add the syrup and mix well without lumps. Leave it aside for 30 minutes.



3. Heat butter in a pan. Spread the batter evenly. Spray butter or apply butter evenly. Cover with a lid. Flip to its side till done.

4. Serve hot with honey toppings.

WATERMELON CARROT SMOOTHIE




INGREDIENTS :

Carrot - 2 big
Watermelon - Few chunks
Honey/Sugar

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Blend carrot well with water and filter it...
2) Then , blend its juice with watermelon .
3) Serve with honey...and chilled.

Sliced Apple , Pear , Banana - 1 bowl
Honey

NUTS STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE



INGREDIENTS




Strawberry - 1/2 box
Full cream milk - 2 cups
Nuts - Cashews / Almond /Pista powdered - 1 tbsp
Vanilla icecream - 1 scoop
Sugar



METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Blend the above said ingredients in a blender .



2) Serve chilled .

NUTTY BANANA MILKSHAKE


INGREDIENTS :


Ripe Bananas - 2

Boiled milk - 1 cup

Icing Sugar

Cashews , Almonds , Dry grapes - few


METHOD OF PREPARATION :


 Blend the above said ingredients in a blender and serve chilled .

PULPY ORANGE JUICE


INGREDIENTS :


Oranges - 7-8 

Icing sugar 

Ice cubes


METHOD OF PREPARATION :


1) Peel the skin and remove the seeds of the orange .

2) Blender it in a blender with icing sugar.

3) Serve it Chill with ice cubes .

ORANGE KESARI



INGREDIENTS : 

Rava / Semolina - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 cups
Oranges (small) - 7
Ghee
Cashews and Raisins .

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Ghee roast rava well till the flavour rules out .
2) Cook in slow flame . Add sugar and mix it up well .
3) Pour sufficient water and freshly made orange juice without pulp , stir it continuously without any lumps .
4) Add a ladle of ghee and stir continuously till done . Kesari should not stick to the pan .
5) Garnish it with Ghee roasted Cashews and Raisins.

HOME MADE GRAPE YOGURT

I came to know of this simple yet comfort food for kids through a UK magazine healthy recipes for kids . This can be made in minutes time . 


INGREDIENTS :


Grapes - 1 cup

Yogurt - 2 cups

Boiled milk (whole) - 1 cupSugar


METHOD OF PREPARATION :


Blend above ingredients in a blender . Serve chilled .Linking it up Fruit of the month- grapes event.

FRUITS LUNCH / SALAD


INGREDIENTS :

  • Banana - 1 big
  • Strawberries - 200 gms
  • Grapes - 200 gms
  • Lemon juice - 1 lemon
  • Lemon zest - 1 tsp
  • Honey - 2 tsps

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Peel the skin of Banana. Slice them finely.



2) Add the sliced grapes finely (if seeded, remove the seeds).


3) Add in the sliced strawberries together.


4) Squeeze lemon juice and mix in the lemon zest.


5) Add the lemon juice with zest to the fruits bowl and mix in the honey. Slowly mix it up with a spoon.



A simple and yummy fruit salad is ready to be served . Mix fruits of your choice . My children loves it and we normally take this lunch during fasting . Linking it up with Fruit of the month - Grapes in my blog.

ORANGE PANCAKE


INGREDIENTS : 


Plain flour - 1 cup

Eggs - 2

Sugar - 1 cup

Oranges - 6 

Buttermilk butter - 2 tbsps

Baking powder - 1/2 tsp




METHOD OF PREPARATION : 


1) Take the flour in a bowl. Add 1/2 tsp of baking powder and Sugar. Mix it well.

2) Add Orange juice and butter milk to it and mix it well without lumps.


3) Add eggs to it and beat it well. Set aside for 10- 15 minutes.


4) Heat tawa and make pancakes like dosa .

6) Flip to its sides till done.

Serve it with Jam or Jelly or Spread honey and roll the pancake .Linking it up with Roshini's  Healthy food for kids event , initiated by Nithu bala.
