BARLEY SAKKARAI PONGAL


INGREDIENTS :

Barley - 1 cup
Moong dal - 1/2 cup
Jaggery / Vellam - 250 gms
Ghee
Cashews, Raisins - 1 handful 

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1. Wash barley well in cold water. Pressure cook dal and barley with 3 cups of water till barley is soft.



2. Prepare jaggery syrup and filter the impurities.
3. Add in to the barley and dal and cook till it thickens. Add 2 ladles of ghee. Once done, garnish it with Ghee roasted Cashews and Raisins.

WHEAT OATS PANCAKE



INGREDIENTS :

Wheat flour - 1  cup
Oats - 1/2 cup (powdered)
Eggs - 2
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt for taste.
Milk - 1/4 cup

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1) Dry roast oats and grind it .
2) Make smooth batter with the above ingredients.
3)Heat tawa . Spread a ladle of the batter .Add a spoon of butter...flip its sides till done.
4) Serve hot with a spoon of honey .

RAGI SWEET KOZHUKKATTAI



INGREDIENTS :

Ragi -- 2 cup
Sugar -- 1 1/2 cup
Coconut pieces -- 10

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Mix Ragi with sugar and grated coconut pieces .

2) Then slowly knead them into soft dough with sufficient water.The dough should not be sticky.

3) Make small balls of it and hand press it .

4) Steam cook them in Idli pan for 15-20 minutes.

Quick simple yummy kozhukkattai is ready .
