COCONUT RICE / TENGA SADAM

This recipe goes to Srivalli's Rice mela event.



Here comes this simple rice,


INGREDIENTS:

Channa dal - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds,Urad dal - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves and Coriander leaves
Groundnut-1 tsp
Rice- 1 cup
Coconut - 1/2 of the whole coconut
Green chillies-3
Cashews-5 nos

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1) Pressure cook rice for 2 whistles and leave aside.
2) Heat oil/ghee in a kadai.Once hot,add mustard and urad dal.When it splutters,add channa dal,peanuts,cashews and curry leaves.Fry them till peanut gets roasted.
3) Add green chillies and saute for a minute.
4)Add the grated coconut and fry till the raw smell leaves.Finally add rice and mix well.

Serve hot with Coconut Chutney.
