IDLI PODI VERSION 1



INGREDIENTS :

Urat dal - - 2 cups
Red Chillies - 2 cups
Asafoetida -- 2 tbsps
Salt to taste

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Heat 1 tsp of gingelly oil . Once hot , roast urat dal till roasted (not burnt) ,followed by red chillies , asafoetida and salt .Allow it to down.
2) Then coarsely powder it in a mixer grinder.

3) Serve it with a spoon of gingelly oil.

Shama,,nice idli podi simple to make it fresh like our chutney dear just add little bit of sesame (ellu) also it gives nice flavour n taste, hope u put lot of version soon i think soo waiitng for that.

Nice simple idli podi,perfect with idli and dosa. I add sesame seeds too,that gives a slightly different taste.

really good post..i always prefer to prepare it. sometimes i add some curry leaves while frying..give nice aroma.its really good choice if we are not ready to cook for any side dish for idli ..i love it with dosa too.
waiting for the other versions too
