Brown Rice- 1 cup
Veggies - 1 cup
Tomato - 1
Onion - 1
Green Chillies - 2
Ginger - garlic paste - 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Spinach - half bunch / handful leaves
Cinnamon - 2
Cloves - 1
Bay leaves - 1
Salt to taste
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Lemon juice -- 2 tbsps
Garam masala powder -- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder -- 1 tsp
Coriander leaves

To grind :

Spinach , Fennel seeds and Corinader seeds


1 ) Heat oil in a pressure cooker . Add chopped onion and fry till transparent.
2) Add chopped tomato and fry till it mixes well with onion.
3) Add ginger garlic paste,chopped chillies,cinnamon ,cloves,pudina,coriander leaves and bay leaves.
4) Then add grinded spinach with all the powders ,lemon juice and salt.
5) Add rice with 1 1/2 cup of water.
6)Presseure cook for 3 whistles.

Serve hot with raitha .

Red Chillies - 25 gms
Coriander seeds - 15 gms
Cumin seeds - 10 gms
Black Pepper- 10 gms
Biriyani Leaf- 3
Cloves - 10 gms
Dried and fried Garlic cloves - 10 nos
Cinnamon sticks - few
Staranise - few
Dried Mint - 5 tsps
Kasthuri Methi - few 
Mustard - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds - 5 gms
Kuskus - 1 tsp


1) Dry fry them one by one and grind them to a fine powder with sufficient salt.
2) Store them in an air tight container.
