RAW BANANA POTATO GRAVY ( Aloo Kanchkolar Dalna)


Aloo Kanchkolar Dalna is a bengali signature recipe. Kanchkolar means ' Raw Banana" and Dalna means ' Gravy'.

INGREDIENTS:

Raw Banana -- 2
Potato -- 2 big
Mustard and Jeera -- 1 tsp each
soy chunks --- 1/4 cup crushed
Garlic pods -- 2
Chilli powder --1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste .

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1) Peel the skin of raw banana and potato . Chop them in cubes.

2) Heat oil in a kadai . Add mustard and Jeera, Red chillies , when it splutters, add raw banana and chopped Potato. Add Turmeric powder, Chilli powder and little water, cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes.







3) When it it half cook cooked, add the grinded paste with a cup of water. Cook till the oil separates out.




Serve with rice.
