Again a repost from my earlier posts . INGREDIENTS : Boneless chicken -500 g Garam masala - 1 tsp Unsalted butter Yogurt - 2 tbsps Salt to taste FOR MASALA : Sauted 2 big onions,3 tomatoes , 2 cinnamon sticks , 6 cashews , 3 cloves , 1 tsp fennel seeds , 1 tsp Coriander Seeds , 1 tsp Jeera , 1/2 Kuskus and 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste . METHOD OF PREPARATION : 1) Marinate chicken with Chilli powder , Coriander powder , Salt and Yogurt. 2) Meanwhile , saute the ingredients for masala and grind it to a fine paste . 3) Heat oil in a kadai . Once hot add a tsp of jeera . When it splutters , add the marianted chicken and saute well till half cooked , leaving some water . 4) Add the masala with sufficent water and salt . Cook till the oil separates out and chicken is well cooked . Add 2 tbsps of butter before removing from the flame . Serve hot with Roti /Rice
Cauliflower florets - 1/2 cup Peas - 1/2 cup Potato - 2 medium size Tomato - 1 Onion - 1 big Curry leaves Turmeric powder - 1 tsp Garam masala powder - 1 tsp Chilli powder - 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tspMustard seeds - 1 tsp Salt to taste Buns - 6 Butter METHOD OF PREPARATION :
1) Boil veggies and keep aside . 2) Heat oil in a pan . Once hot , add Mustard seeds . When it splutters , add sliced onion and saute well . 3) Then , add sliced tomato and saute well . 4) Add the veggies and other ingredients and mix them well . Cook in slow flame till the ground masala mixes well with the veggies . Garnish with coriander leaves. 5) Slice the buns , coat the inner side with butter and stuff it with vegetable masala .Spread butter over the bun too and toast it in dosa tawa. Masala bun is ready to serve hot .
INGREDIENTS : Brinjal - 200 gms Salt to taste SPICE POWDER : Roasted channa dal / Pottukadalai - 2 tsps Red Chillies - 3 Asafoetida - 2 tsps METHOD OF PREPARATION : 1) Heat oil in a kadai . Once hot , saute chopped brinjal with little water and cover with a lid till halk cooked. 2) Add the spice powder with salt and saute well till done in slow flame . 3) Serve hot with Rice .
Prawn - 250 gms Green pepper - 1 big Onion - 1 sliced Cheese - 1 sheet/slice Chilli powder - 1 tsp Turmeric powder - 1 tsp Coriander powder - 1 tsp Salt to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION :
1) Marinate clean and washed prawn with spice powders and salt for 1 hr. 2) Then , shallow fry prawns till cooked , not roasted . 3) Once done , remove the prawns from the pan . 4) With the same oil , saute onion and pepper till tender with shredded cheese. 5) Once done , add prawns to it and mix it up well . Cook for 5-10 minutes in slow flame till done . Garnish with Coriander leaves .Serve hot with Roti / Rice .
Small prawns - 200 gms Chicken masala - 2 tsp Turmeric powder - 1 tsp Salt to taste Ginger paste - 1 tsp Coriander leaves METHOD OF PREPARATION : 1) Wash and clean prawns well . Boil it for few minutes , allow it to cool and blend it coarsely in a blender. 2) Heat oil in a kadai . Once hot , add prawns followed by all the spice powders . 3) Sprinkle little water and Cover with a lid . 4) Cook till the prawn is well cooked with the masalas and garnish it with coriander leaves . 5) Sandwich it between butter coated bread and place in sandwich maker till done .
INGREDIENTS : Plain flour / Maida - 2 cups Warm water - 1/2 cup Dry yeast - 2 tsps Salt - 1 tsp Sugar - 1 tsp Oil - few tsps Paneer - 100 gms (chopped it finely and marinate it with chilli powder and salt) Green pepper - 1 finely sliced Sweet corn - 1/4 cup Cheese Onion - 1 big (finely sliced) FOR PIZZA SAUCE :
Tomato puree - 1 cup Dried oregano Salt to taste Ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp Heat oil in a pan . Add tomato puree in it .Cook over slow flame with the other ingredients .till the sauce is thick.Allow it cool down completely.
METHOD OF PREPARATION :
1) Mix the warm water and yeast in a small bowl . Wait until the yeast dissolves, about 5 minutes. 2) Knead the flour with sugar and salt .Add few tsps of oil. 3) Then , add the yeast mixture and make a soft dough . 4) Cover the dough with plastic wrap/wet muslin cloth and set aside until the dough doubles in volume, about 1-2 hours. 5) Sprinkle few flour over the baking sheets/tray . Roll out pizza dough . 6) Transfer dough to baking sheet/tray . Drizzle 2 teaspoons of oil over each pizza dough. 7) Spread pizza sauce in it . Then , spread the veggies over it . 8) Sprinkle grated chesse in it. 9) Preheat oven @ 200 deg.c for 10 minutes .Then ,bake the pizzas until the crusts are crisp and brown on the bottom and the cheese is melted on top, about 15 minutes. Cut the pizza into wedges and serve immediately with italian seasoning / oregano . Linking it with Home bakers Challenge for May 2013 - Pizza .
