FISH CURRY - MOM'S SPL




INGREDIENTS :


Fish - 1 kg ( I prepared with Red Snapper and few Mackeral pieces)
Onion - 2 medium
Jeera and Methi seeds - 1 tsp each
Red Chillies - 15 nos
Tamarind - a big lemon size
Chilli powder- 2 tsps
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste.

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1) Grind onion , red chillies,coconut,Jeera and methi seeds with little water .

2) Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, grinder masala and salt for 1 /2 hour.








3 )Heat a tsp of oil in a kadai. Meanwhile, add tamarind water with the marinated fish, add all the spice powders and mix them well with clean hands.




4) Once hot, transfer it to the kadai and add 2 tbsps of gingelly oil. Cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes. Leave in slow flame till fish is fully cooked and the oil separates.




Serve hot with rice.
