FRIED MOONG DAL KOFTA YOGURT CURRY / PARUPPU URUNDAI MORKULAMBU
I tasted this delicious curry in my marati friend's place . I learnt this recipe from her and tried it out . My daughter and hubby loved it .
Here comes the recipe for you to taste and enjoy ,
INGREDIENTS :
Moong dal -1 small cup
Curd -- 2 cups
Salt to taste
Ginger - a small pinch
Green chillies - 3
Asafoetida - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds -- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
FOR TEMPERING :
Mustard - 1 tsp
Red Chillies - 3
Curry leaves
METHOD OF PREPARATION :
1) Soak dal for 2 hours and grind it coarsely with Salt , 1/2 tsp jeera, fennel seeds , ginger , green chillies , curry leaves and asafoetida.
2) Then deep fry them or shallow fry them .
3) Once done , transfer to a bowl of beaten fresh curd and turmeric powder . Allow it warm for 3 minutes . Switch of the flame and temper it.
