INGREDIENTS :
- Spinach - 300 gms; well cleaned and finely chopped.
- Dal powder/ Paruppu Podi - 2 tbsps
- Asafoetida/ Hing/ Perungayam - a pinch
- Onion - 1/2 cup; finely chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Mustard and Jeera - 1 tsp each
- Crushed dried red chillies - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION :
1) Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, add mustard and jeera. When it splutters, add onion and saute till tender.
2) Add spinach,mix it well and cover with a lid. Cook for a minute, slightly toss it well. Mix Paruppu Podi, crushed chillies and salt. Add a spoon of gingelly oil. Mix it well before removing from the flame.
