CARROT CORIANDER CHUTNEY


INGREDIENTS :
  • Mustard and Urad dal - 1 tsp each
  • Carrot - 1 big
  • Bell pepper - 1
  • Channa dal - 2tsps
  • Ginger - a small piece
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - few
  • Onion -1 
  • Tomato - 1 small
  • Red chillies -2
  • Salt to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION :

  1. Heat oil in a kadai. Once hot, add channa dal and get it roasted.
  2. Add Red chillies, ginger and onion.Saute till tender.
  3. Then add tomato and saute well.
  4. Then add carrot and bell pepper. Saute till tender.
  5. Finally, add coriander leaves and saute for 5 minutes.
  6. Allow it to cool and blend them with salt in a blender finely.
  7. Tadka it with Mustard, Urad dal, Red chillies and Curry leaves. Serve hot with Idli or Dosai.
