Cannellini beans are white kidney beans. They have a unique taste. They are rich in Vitamin B12.
INGREDIENTS :
- Cannellini beans - 1 cup
- Onion - 1 big sliced
- Tomato - 1 sliced
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Grinder coconut - 3 tbsps
- Salt to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION :
1) Soak the beans overnight. Pressure cook the beans with sufficient water for 3 whistles. Allow the steam to leave and keep aside.
2) Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, jeera. When it splutters, add sliced onions and tomatoes and saute till tender.
3) Add the grinder coconut with ginger garlic paste.
4) Add Garam masala, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Mix it well.
5) Once the raw smell leaves, add the cooked beans to it and salt. Cook till the masala becomes thick.
