BITTERGOURD GARLIC PODI VARUVAL


INGREDIENTS :

  • Bittergourd - 300 gms
  • Onion - 1 
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

To grind:

Garlic - 10 cloves
Red chillies - 10
Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Coconut pieces -3


METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1. Heat oil in a kadai. Once hot, add mustard and jeera. When it splutters, add onion and saute it well.


2. Add the grinded masala to it and saute till the raw smell leaves.




3) Add the sliced bitter gourd to it , add salt, turmeric powder and mix it well. Cover with a lid and cook till done.




Serve hot with Rice.
